【摘要】:FDArequirementsformaximumextractablesarespecifiedforresinanduses.Thistestmethodprovidesameanstodeterminetheamountofhexane-solublelowmolecularweightmaterialpresentinpolyolefins.Itisapplicabletoresinscontaininggreaterthan0.20%extractables.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesanextraction/gravimetricprocedurefordeterminationoftheamountofhexanesolublelowmolecularweightmaterialpresentinpolyethylene,polypropylene,ethylene-propylenecopolymers,andethylene-vinylacetatecopolymers.ThistestmethodisamodificationoftheFoodandDrugAdministration(FDA)procedurefordetermininghexaneextractablesofpolyolefins.Thistestmethodisbaseduponthepresumptionthattheweightoftheresidueextractpresentinthesolventisequaltotheamountextractedfromthefilmsampleandcouldthereforebequantifiedbymeasuringtheweightlossoftheextractedfilm,eliminatingthecomplexandtime-consumingevaporationprocessdescribedin21CFR177.1520.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Unitsusedin21CFR177.1520arealsousedinthistestmethod.UnitsareinconformancewithFederalCode21CFR177.1520,fromwhichthistestmethodisderived.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalentISOtothistestmethod.
