【摘要】:Thistestmethodusesaratioturbidimetricopticalsystemtomeasuretheturbidityofinsulatingoilsrelativetoturbiditystandards.Cloudinessorturbidityisattributedtomatterwhosediameterisapproximately20%ofthewavelengthoftheincidentlight.Increasingturbiditysignifiesincreasingtransformerfluidcontamination,eitherfromexternalsourcesorinternalchemicalreactions(suchasoxidation)thatproducefineparticulatematter.Otherturbiditysources,suchaswaterdropletsorgasbubbles,arenotofinterestinthisevaluationofinsulatingoils.Theeliminationoftheseinterferencesisdescribedin6.2and6.6.Thistestmethodquantifieschangeswhichmaynotbeapparenttotheunaidedhumaneye.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratoryprocedurethatascertainsthequantityofsuspensionsininsulatingoilsofpetroleumoriginusinganephelometricmeasurementtechniquetodeterminethefluid''sturbidity.Thistestmethodisdesignedtorevealchangesthatmayoccurtotheseoils.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableforturbiditiesintherangeof0.1to500NephelometricTurbidityUnits(NTU).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
