【摘要】:Thistestisaguideforevaluatingmagnesiumanodes.Thedegreeofcorrelationbetweenthistestandserviceperformancehasnotbeenfullydetermined.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedurethatmeasuresthetwofundamentalperformancepropertiesofmagnesiumsacrificialanodetestspecimensoperatinginasaturatedcalciumsulfate,saturatedmagnesiumhydroxideenvironment.Thetwofundamentalpropertiesareelectrode(oxidationpotential)andamperehours(Ah)obtainedperunitmassofspecimenconsumed.Magnesiumanodesinstalledundergroundareusuallysurroundedbyabackfillmaterialthattypicallyconsistsof75%gypsum(CaSO4x00B7;2H2O),20%bentoniteclay,and5%sodiumsulfate(Na2SO4).Thecalciumsulfate,magnesiumhydroxidetestelectrolytesimulatesthelongtermenvironmentaroundananodeinstalledinthegypsum-bentonite-sodiumsulfatebackfill.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtobeusedforqualityassurancebyanodemanufacturersoranodeusers.However,longtermfieldperformancepropertiesmaynotbeidenticaltopropertymeasurementsobtainedusingthislaboratorytest.Note18212;RefertoTerminologyG15fortermsusedinthistestmethod.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautions,SeeSection7andParagraph8.1.1.

The requirements are applicable for all maintenance levels/classes through overhaul (depot) including DMWRs and National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWRs). The requirements can be used to develop IETMs for interactive screen presentations.
