【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverfixeddetentionhollowmetalvisionsystemsofvariousmaterialsandtypesofconstruction.Thesefixedhollowmetalvisionsystemsareusedinwallopeningsindetentionandcorrectionalinstitutionsdesignedtoincarcerateinmates.Frameassembliesinvestigatedunderthesetestmethodsincludeindividualcomponentsincludingdetentionsecurityhollowmetalframes,frameanchoring,securityglazing,panels,andremovableglazingstops.Thesetestmethodsaredesignedtotestthecapabilityofafixeddetentionhollowmetalvisionsystemtoprevent,delay,andfrustrateescape;tolimitorcontrolaccesstounauthorizedorsecuredareas;andpreventpassageofcontraband.Thesetestmethodsapplyprimarilytodetentionhollowmetalvisionsystemsbetweensecureareasgenerallyfoundinsideadetention/correctionalfacilitysuchas:dayrooms,controlrooms,cells,andsallyports.Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletovisionsystemsotherthanhollowmetal,providedtestingandreportingproceduresarefollowed.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
